Thomas Coville (FRA) crossed starting line on board maxi trimaran "SODEBO" on 18 Nov 2008 at 13:54:14 (GMT), at "Petit Minou lighthouse" line near Brest (FRA).
He will have to come back in Brest before 15 Jan 2009 at 3:27:20 to etablish a new Solo round the world record.
Time to beat is 57 days 13 hours 34 min and 6 seconds , set by frenchman Francis Joyon on "IDEC".
